Interview with Dee Glazier: Teaser

Dee Glazier – owner of Dragonfly Running Company – serves on the Friends of the LINC Board of Directors as the Treasurer.

We spoke with Dee about the LINC project and how it has helped her store throughout the years.

Dee shared with us her thoughts on the convenience of the LINC and how it helps people find her shop and connect throughout the wonderful city of Newnan.

Dee also highlighted how the LINC will continue to expand and showed her excitement of seeing the LINC connect areas of Newnan including downtown.

Dee also shared how she personally loves to use the LINC during group runs. The LINC is a great way to come together and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

SPLOST Vote

Please mark your calendars to vote YES to the Coweta County SPLOST sales tax referendum November 7, 2023.

Here are a few details about the SPLOST vote to keep in mind in the coming months leading up to the vote.

The Coweta SPLOST (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) is a 1% sales tax currently in place that funds local capital projects including Coweta County green spaces and parks.

The current SPLOST is set to expire December 31, 2024.

A significant revenue source for capital projects generated by everyone making retail or online purchases in Coweta County.

If approved, the 2025 SPLOST will be a continuation of the current 7% sales tax, NOT a new or additional tax.
